Where were you when Cork got flooded?

Twas quiet the site!

Twas quiet the site!

I was in the village, thinking it was a great idea to run over there when the electricity in Vic Mills went off. Although it probably was in the end! It was a fun night/morning. Playing games, belittling people, eating bakewell and being one of the first to start leaving the village. Desperate times………….

Apparently it was the worst flooding in living memory. I hope it gets better soon and everything is fixed to like it was before.

The photos tell it all. :)

Oh, and a video.

Christmas comes early!

Can you think of a better way to spend a rainy Saturday evening in Cork?

  • Christmas lights – yes
  • Duck – yes
  • Christmas Music – yes
  • Do we need to get a life? – debatable!

We had them 100 years ago but not now….

We had trams in cork city about 100 years ago and now all we have are smelly buses!…………… (Not that the trams weren’t smelly, they were probably manky, but still)

Federer goes another week without a title, all topped off by the soon-to-be infamous racket smashing incident :(

I prefer to plan things ahead and know whats happening but sometimes its just not like that. On a sunny afternoon in Cork city theres always loads of strange stuff to do. Anyone else meet a friend randomly on the street, visit a travellers museum, sit in the sun, wear Calvin Harris glasses whilst standing at a mirrored (glitter) tree, eat ice-cream and then violently throw bread at swans before making the geese go mad?? no?
Check out the pictures!

I love Cork :) Do be da fablos. (And for those friends who went in for the free Tommy Tiernan tickets… . Goin mad??)
