Amazing stadium
It’s officially the start of all the big players’ summer hardcourt season as new father Federer, returning from injury Nadal and the other guy in third place :p return to the tour to defend very valuable ranking points. It’s going to be an extremely interesting tournament as alot could happen in the ranking.
Nadal is the defending champion but all the news suggests he is not 100% or anywhere near that level, so if he doesnt manage to defend the majority of those points he is going to be under alot of pressure to hold his position as number 2 since his points form last years Olympic gold medal will also be coming off this ranking soon. Murray was also a semifinalist last yer but interestingly Federer lost his opening match here last year so he only has points to gain 
As far as first round matches go tomorrow
- Wawrinka v Keifer, my pick for the day in singles.
- Nadal and an unknown Spaniard v Djokovic and an unknown Serbian in doubles! Should really keep the crowds in.
- Safin v Monfils could be a classic if Safin doesn’t go and make an idiot out of himself like he usually does.
