&Bull; Jonathan R. Jackson, 23, of Bapchule was arrested and a 17-year-old boy was referred to juvenile authorities Saturday at Walmart, 1741 E. Florence Blvd., for armed robbery and aggravated assault with a weapon. Jackson also was charged with driving under the influence to the slightest degree, DUI more than 0.08 percent, extreme DUI more than 0.15 percent and super extreme DUI more than 0.20 percent. The 17-year-old boy also was charged with taking the identity of another, underage possession of alcohol, providing false information to law enforcement and shoplifting. Police say the two loaded a cart with alcohol, total value $213.47, and left the store. When a store employee confronted them, they displayed a handgun and left in a vehicle. Police located the vehicle in the 1700 block of East Florence Boulevard and found a knife and toy handgun inside. Police were able to identify the boy at the U.S. Border Patrol station after he provided a false name and age to police. Jackson was booked into jail and the 17-year-old was booked into juvenile detention. • Shannon Moreno, 32, of the 700 block of West O’Neil Drive was arrested Saturday in the 100 block of West Florence Boulevard for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault under the domestic violence law and on two warrants for failure to comply. Police say Moreno pulled a victim’s hair during an argument and was found in possession of marijuana and a drug pipe. Moreno was booked into jail. • Jeffery Moreno, 31, of the 400 block of North Morrison Avenue was arrested Saturday in the 400 block of North Morrison Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a dangerous drug and tampering with physical evidence. Police say they responded to a suspicious person call and located Moreno in possession of a drug pipe and a plastic bag of methamphetamines. Moreno threw the pipe in an effort to hide it from police, but they saw him throw it and recovered it. He was booked into jail. • Richard S. Brown, 34, of the 300 block of North Pottebaum Avenue was arrested Saturday at home for assault, disorderly conduct and threatening/intimidating, all under the domestic violence law. Police say Brown chased a woman in a parking lot, slapped her in the face, yelled and screamed at her and threatened to kick a door down. He was booked into jail. • Michael R.

Criminal Damage: A cab driver notified police after three males fled his taxi without paying a $16.80 fare at Oak Street and Sheridan Road and damaged the vehicle’s window at 3:11 a.m.

Traffic Arrest: Oscar Castrejon, 21, of Gurnee, was arrested and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license at 4:19 p.m. in the 900 block of Vernon Avenue. He also received citations for improper display of license plates and driving without insurance. His court date is July 11.

June 10

Theft: A boy’s blue BMX bicycle valued at $100 was reported missing from a driveway in the 200 block of Poplar Street.

DUI Arrest: A 17-year-old boy from New Trier Township was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs at 1:09 a.m. in the 0-100 block of Locust Road. He was also cited for improper lane usage, failure to use his turn signal and violating provisions of the Illinois graduated driver license. His court date is July 26.

June 9

Theft: A men’s Giant bicycle and lock valued at $80 was reported stolen from a bike rack at New Trier High School.

Auto Burglary: Items valued at $3,100 were reported stolen from a car parked in the 1100 block of Chatfield Road. The pilfered property included Calloway golf clubs, a black and gray golf bag, golf balls and a black North Face jacket.

June 8

Theft: A girl’s black Giant bicycle valued at $200 was reported stolen from a rack at Crow Island School.

Theft: A silver boy’s bike was reported stolen from a rack in the 700 block of Sheridan Road.

June 7

DUI Arrest: Marvin Renteria, 19, of Skokie, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. His vehicle was stopped by  police at 3:01 a.m. at Sheridan Road and Melrose Avenue in Kenilworth. Renteria, whose court date is July 26, was also cited for failing to use his turn signal.
