3 cheers letter: River Valley High graduation superb

I would like to commend Yuba City Unified School District, all the staff, teachers, administrators and students at River Valley High School for the great 2011 graduation ceremony held June 2 at the River Valley High School football stadium.

It was without a doubt the best graduation ceremony I have ever attended. Right from the beginning, when a trained falcon (school mascot) was flown over the crowd and students to the very end when a surprise fireworks show was put on, the ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of the students, inspired all in attendance and was a great send off for the class of 2011.

Too often we read and hear only critism of our local schools and institutions, so it is with great pleasure and gratitude I would like to thank all those responsible for this wonderful celebration of our children's high school experience and hope they take this joyous occasion on with them wherever life may take them!

P.S.: Looking forward to many more graduations as this was just the first of eight grandchildren!
