Approaching MCS prompts Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of North Mississippi
An approaching mesoscale convective system (MCS) moving southeastward into the Mid South has prompted the Storm Prediction Center to issue a Severe Thunderstorm Watch across parts of North Mississippi through Saturday afternoon.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch covers 17 out of Mississippi's 82 counties until 5 pm CDT and includes the towns and cities of Tupelo, Corinth, Tunica, Southaven, Olive Branch, Oxford, Holly Springs, Ashland, Boonville and Senatobia.
